Louhintahiekka Oy receives RALA Quality Award in infrastructure construction
Louhintahiekka has been awarded the RALA Quality Award, becoming the first infrastructure construction company in Finland to receive the recognition.

The RALA Quality Award, granted by the Construction Quality Association RALA, highlights companies that demonstrate strong corporate culture, leadership and responsible operating practices in construction. The recognition is part of RALA’s long-term work to develop and renew the operating culture of the Finnish construction industry.
In 2026 the award was expanded to cover infrastructure construction, and Louhintahiekka Oy was selected as the first infrastructure contractor to receive the recognition. The company was praised for its determined work in developing its corporate culture, leadership practices and employee well-being.
“Receiving the RALA Quality Award means a great deal to us. After changes in the company’s ownership and management in 2023, we began a long-term development process focusing on strategy, values and strengthening our corporate culture,” says CEO Aapo Lahtinen.
“The people who carry out our projects are at the heart of everything we do. Investing in their well-being and satisfaction is a prerequisite for construction quality, customer satisfaction and the success of the entire company.”
RALA highlighted that strong leadership, open communication and a participatory corporate culture play an important role in ensuring the overall quality and long-term development of the construction industry.
