The 2025/26 financial year was the strongest in Louhintahiekka’s history. The company, which specialises in demanding infrastructure construction projects, benefited from several significant contract wins, successful execution of demanding projects and improved project profitability.

“The financial year was excellent for Louhintahiekka. Our turnover more than doubled, while we also significantly improved our profitability. We have worked systematically to develop our operating methods, equipment and project profitability, and the results of this work are now clearly visible. I am particularly pleased that we have been able to achieve such strong growth while maintaining profitability,” says Aapo Lahtinen, CEO of Louhintahiekka.

Employee satisfaction increased significantly alongside strong growth

During the financial year, Louhintahiekka hired 53 new infrastructure construction professionals and employed 155 people at the end of the financial year.

“We are determined to be the best employer in the infrastructure sector. We are therefore particularly pleased that our eNPS, which measures employee satisfaction, increased by as much as 20 points in one year, from 47 to 67. We want to build a culture where people are trusted for their expertise, given responsibility and freedom, and encouraged to continuously develop better ways of working. Good cooperation and employee well-being are also reflected in the efficiency and quality of the work we deliver to our customers. The well-being and commitment of our employees provide an important foundation for the company’s long-term success,” says Lahtinen.

Careful project selection supports profitable growth

During the financial year, Louhintahiekka updated its strategy with a focus on urban, industrial and data centre construction. In selecting projects, the company prioritises those where its specialist expertise provides the best opportunities for successful and profitable delivery.

During the financial year, Louhintahiekka completed several demanding contracts and secured significant new infrastructure construction projects in both the public and private sectors. Completed projects included the data centre project in Espoo, the Tolsanmäki street renovation project in Kirkkonummi, Saukonkanava canal and Nallenrinne in Helsinki. Major new projects were also launched across Finland, including earthworks for Kesko’s logistics centre in Nurmijärvi, pre-construction works for the Nebius data centre in Lappeenranta and the Ferry Terminal street project in Turku.

Outlook for the financial year 1 June 2026–31 May 2027

The Finnish infrastructure construction market is expected to remain stable, with slight growth in 2026–2027. Demand is being supported particularly by investments related to the green transition, data centre projects, the expansion and reinforcement of electricity transmission networks, and industrial investments. Louhintahiekka is aiming to continue growing profitably at a faster rate than the market during the current financial year.

“Our strong order backlog and new contract wins give us a solid starting point for the new financial year. There are attractive projects in the market that are well suited to our expertise. Our goal is to continue this positive development by focusing on projects where we have the best opportunities to succeed,” says Lahtinen.
