The Board of Directors of Louhintahiekka will be strengthened as Pasi Tolppanen, D.Sc. (Tech.), joins as a new member. Tolppanen’s extensive and diverse experience in the infrastructure sector, both in board positions and executive leadership roles, brings strong industry expertise and strategic insight to the Board.
Tolppanen has held several leadership roles within the infrastructure sector and has closely followed the industry’s transformation. He has led YIT’s Infrastructure segment and served as CEO of Pöyry Finland Oy. He also has broad experience in the construction industry, having served as CEO of DEN Group.
“Broad-mindedness is my greatest strength. I have had the opportunity to view the infrastructure sector from many different perspectives, and I am familiar with both its operating models and its culture,” Tolppanen says.
Tolppanen has followed the development of Louhintahiekka for a long time, and the company’s strong growth in recent years captured his interest.
“I have noticed that Louhintahiekka aims to reshape the culture of the industry, and there has been a great deal of positive discussion around the company. As the financial results demonstrate, the chosen direction has been the right one and the development has been rapid. It is inspiring to be part of this journey of transformation. I believe I have much to contribute and, at the same time, much to learn,” Tolppanen says.
Louhintahiekka’s CEO, Aapo Lahtinen, sees Tolppanen’s appointment to the Board as a significant reinforcement.
“Our growth rate may seem rapid to an outsider, but it has been carefully managed. New data center projects and the related demand for experts have accelerated our growth. We value Tolppanen’s extensive experience across different roles, as it is important for the Board to examine the industry from multiple perspectives,” Lahtinen says.
