Louhintahiekka carried out the ground and concrete construction works for the most modern recycling plant in Europe. We were involved from the design and planning management phase all the way to final completion.
Our work included earthworks and rock blasting; ground improvement works and foundation construction including stabilisation; dewatering and storm water piping systems as well as cabling; foundation and floor concrete casting.
As part of the design and planning phase, we suggested several alternative solutions resulting in significant cost savings for the client, such as optimisation of floor levels and rock blasting levels; rock blasting methods; type of piles used; soil, ground material and rock screening, crushing and recycling.
